ADA, Minn. (June 20, 2019) – The Buffalo Wild Wings NOSA Sprint Cars invaded Norman County Raceway on Thursday night during the 124th Norman County Fair.
Dobmeier was able to sneak around Mullen and set his sights on Nygaard for the lead. Nygaard held a comfortable cushion over Dobmeier until a pair of cautions flew with under five laps to go. On each and every restart, Nygaard was able to hold off Dobmeier as the track had a distinguished groove late in the running.
On the final green-white-checkered finish, Nygaard quickly jumped out to a four car length lead and cruised to his seventh career Norman County Raceway victory.
“It helped to start on the pole,” admitted Nygaard in victory lane. “It was a tough race for anybody who didn’t start on the pole. I just had to maintain the tires, not spin them off and not screw up. The yellows fell our way tonight. They came out just as we were getting to lapped traffic so that always helps.”
The win was Nygaard’s second NOSA triumph of the season.
The Buffalo Wild Wings NOSA Sprints head back to River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks tonight. Admission is just $7. The races will be broadcast live on Midco Sports Network.
