GRAND FORKS, ND (July 22) - Greg Nikitenko and Nick Omdahl paced the field of 24 NOSA Sprints to the green flag for their 25-lap Buffalo Wild Wings A-main.
Mack wasn’t able to enjoy his time out front for long, however, as Mark Dobmeier came from ninth to battle for the lead. On lap 13, Dobmeier executed a slide job for the lead and clear Mack off of turn two, but Mack was up on the wheel and made fairly heavy contact with the rear nurf bar of Dobmeier down the back stretch.
Both drivers kept racing hard as Cory soon had to deal with his brother, Casey Mack. The best battle on the track was now for second as Thursday night’s winner at Norman County Raceway, Austin Pierce, was in the mix also.
Dobmeier went on to score a record seventh consecutive Sprint Car win in a row at RCS as Casey Mack, Cory Mack, Pierce and Wade Nygaard rounded out the top five.
