GRAND FORKS, N.D. (August 9, 2019) – Friday's Buffalo Wild Wings NOSA Sprint Car feature at River Cities Speedway began with Jack Croaker, Ty Hanten and Mark Dobmeier running three-wide for the lead out of turn two. Croaker led early with Dobmeier in tow. On lap eight, Croaker was cruising through lapped traffic until he slid off the top of turn two to bring out the caution. That handed the lead over to Dobmeier.
Dobmeier, who hadn’t won at River Cities since May 31st, returned to his winning ways on Friday as he cruised to his third win of the season at the Bullring. Wade Nygaard and Chris Ranten rounded out the podium.
“River Cities had a great track. The groove was around the middle to bottom early on, then it slicked off and there was a top groove and a bottom groove,” said Dobmeier after the race. “We ran second at the start and followed Jack Croaker. Croaker was running a wild pace right away there. Then he hit turn one a little too hard and slipped off the top. We took advantage and took the lead and let it rip from there.”
