The series made a trip through the Rushmore State last weekend to a pair of South Dakota bullrings as Tim Estenson and Mark Dobmeier split the weekend mini-series as NOSA's regulars took on the newly formed 410 arm of the South Dakota based MSTS Sprint Series.
Weston Olson and Justin Jacobsma brought the first 30 lap feature of the weekend to the drop of the green Friday night at Brown County Speedway in Aberdeen. Olson led the opening lap in the Olson Underground No. 27 while Tim Estenson passed Jacobsma to take over the second spot.

With just three laps completed, Olson started working lapped traffic. One lap later, however, Dominic Dobesh went for a tumble in turn two with Olson also flipping trying to avoid the accident. Both drivers were okay, but both drivers' nights were over.

With the accident scene cleaned up, Estenson led the field back to green in the Truline Logistics No. 14T as Brendan Mullen moved the Native Nations Cannabis No. 11M past Jacobsma on the completion of the fourth lap.

On lap eight, the caution came back out for Wade Nygaard as Shane Roemeling's Forks Finest Auto Body No. 31 came to a stop on the top of turn three.

A fantastic restart for Estenson saw him pull away from Mullen by about a half a straight away. Meanwhile, point leader Jade Hastings, driving the Ault Construction No. 8H, was the next to challenge Jacobsma for position as the two went side-by-side for the third position.

At the Midway point of the feature, Estenson started working traffic and his advantage at this point was a was over a full straight away. With ten laps to go Estenson's clinic out front continued as he lapped well into the top ten at this point.

With seven to go, Estenson started to have some trouble with heavy lapped traffic which allowed the now second place runner Mark Dobmeier to close to within ten car lengths of the lead in the Buffalo Wild Wings No. 13.

With five to go, however, Dobmeier slid off of the top of turn one and brought out the final caution of the race. The leaders had lapped up to sixth, allowing Dobmeier to restart in the sixth position with five laps left to get back into the top five.

Estenson again executed a flawless restart as Mullen and Hastings completed the top three. Ryan Bickett moved past Justin Jacobsma to move into fourth as the pair held off Dobmeier in his attempt to get back into the top five.

Estenson continued on for his second career series victory, both coming in the state of South Dakota, over Mullen, Hastings, Bickett, and Jacobsma.

Jack Croaker and Mark Dobmeier led the final 30 lapper to green Sunday night at Casino Speedway in Watertown. Dobmeier took the lead in turns one and two with Croaker and Mullen completing the top three at the conclusion of the opening lap.

Misfortune for lap four for the second and third place runners as Brendan Mullen spun into the infield on the back stretch and Jack Croaker pulled to the pit area with engine problems in the Hugo’s Family Marketplace Eight Ball.

This moved Laela Eisenschenk, in just her fourth 410 start, into the second position in the Kost Materials No. 15, as she was looking to become the third female driver ever to score a podium in the 31-year history of the series.

Hastings won the drag race with Eisenschenk down the back stretch when the race went back to green as Dobmeier continued to lead. On lap nine, Dobmeier started working lap traffic as Hastings and Eisenschenk continued to complete the top three.

Dobmeier put three lapped cars between himself and Hastings just before the midway point, a caution for Weston Olson on the back stretch saved Tim Estenson and Brendan Mullen from going a lap down as the two of them charged through the field after starting at the back of the previous restart.

The ensuing restart, however, saw Estenson's run from the rear of the field run into a bit of a hiccup as he spun in turn four.

When the race got back underway, Eisenschenk pulled even with Hastings in the battle for second as Sam Henderson moved in on both of them. While this was going on, Brendan Mullen had climbed back into the top ten after restarting at the tail on the first caution of the race.

Following a pair of cautions with 13 and then 11 laps to go, Dobmeier continued to lead as the top three remained the same with Brendan Mullen charging back to eighth with ten to go.

The best battle on the track became the one for third as Sam Henderson and Laela Eisenschenk went side-by-side for a number of laps in their bids to complete the podium.

With six to go Mullen’s incredible charge from the rear of the field came to an end when he clipped an infield tractor tire. Before he was able to get us straightened out, he and Wade Nygaard made contact with Nygaard flipping down the back stretch. Both drivers were okay, but their nights were over.

With six to go, Henderson, Eisenschenk, and Justin Jacobsma went three wide briefly for the third spot. Following the final caution with three to go, Henderson held on to third as Dobmeier held off Hastings to win his fourth series feature of the season.

Hastings, Henderson, Eisenschenk, and Jacobsma completed the top five.

Series action continued Tuesday night, July 2nd, at River Cities Speedway as the series will run double features, making up one of the previous early season rainouts at the Bullring.
