WEST FARGO, ND (Decemeber 22) - August 25th, 2012; that was the last time a checkered flag flew at Red River Valley Speedway. Since then, the hallowed grounds of what was formerly known as "The fastest track in the upper Midwest" have sat dormant on the western edge of West Fargo, North Dakota.
WEST FARGO, ND (Decemeber 22) - August 25th, 2012; that was the last time a checkered flag flew at Red River Valley Speedway. Since then, the hallowed grounds of what was formerly known as "The fastest track in the upper Midwest" have sat dormant on the western edge of West Fargo, North Dakota.
But today it was announced that Jake Bitker of Norman County Raceway and Nick Skalicky of the Red River Kart Club have joined forces and will resurrect the semi-banked 3/8th mile dirt track for the next three years. Along with it comes a Northern Outlaw Sprint Association date during the Red River Valley Fair on July 17th, presented by Buffalo Wild Wings.
"I'm excited to get back to [Red River Valley Speedway] this coming July," said eight-time NOSA champion, Wade Nygaard. "I'll get to see some old Fargo friends and I hope we can do well for them."
