GRAND FORKS, N.D. (April 29, 2025) - The Buffalo Wild Wings Northern Outlaw Sprint Association is set to lift the lid on its 32nd season of racing action this Sunday night at Nodak Speedway in Minot, ND. This is scheduled to be the first time the series returns to a stomping ground from the past, as a dozen year hiatus is set to come to an end.
The series’ last points paying trip to the ‘Playground of Power’ was back in 2013 when Thomas Kennedy picked up the win. Since that night in June of 2013, the series has seen a nearly complete turnover in its roster of regulars as just two drivers remain active from that night and less than a handful overall.
That said, a few NOSA regulars have had success at the three-eighths mile in the past. Blake Egeland has a win with his Engelstad Farms No. 26 back in 2015, and Nick Omdahl has a pair of wins in his CMS No. 0 in Western Dakota / CAOSS Sprint action. But with no 410 racing in Minot since 2022, this event appears to present a clean slate for NOSA and its regular drivers.
The series competed on just one three-eighths mile track last season when Mark Dobmeier won at Norman County Raceway last July, putting NOSA up 1-0 over the visiting IRA Sprints in his Buffalo Wild Wings backed No. 13JT.
Though it has been 12 years since the last series race at Nodak, this will be the 46th time the series makes the trip to Minot. Two-time series champion Lou Kennedy, Jr. leads all drivers with 8 wins at Nodak, though Minot native Greg Nikitenko in one behind with seven previous wins.
