GRAND FORKS, ND (July 14) - Another big weekend of racing is in store for the NOSA Sprint Car Series with three events lined up. As usual, it all begins Friday night at River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks as the Sprint Cars co-headline the program with the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Models and WISSOTA Modifieds.

As usual, it all begins Friday night at River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks as the Sprint Cars co-headline the program with the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Models and WISSOTA Modifieds.

Following Friday's race, the tour will head south for a pair of races in the Fargo-Moorhead area. Saturday evening Buffalo River Race Park hosts their second NOSA event of 2016, presented by Thunder Seed.
When the series last visited the tight quarter-mile oval in May, Wade Nygaard and Thomas Kennedy put on a great battle for the lead before Nygaard eventually prevailed to take the victory. After taking a couple weeks off from NOSA competition, Kennedy, who has wins at BRRP in both NOSA and All-Star Circuit of Champions action, will be eyeing another win at the Glyndon, MN track.
The weekend wraps up Sunday evening at Red River Valley Speedway in West Fargo, ND. The event, sponsored by Buffalo Wild Wings and the Red River Valley Fair, will mark the first Sprint Car race at the smooth and fast 3/8th mile track since August 17th, 2012. The NOSA Sprints will be joined by the NLRA Late Models and IMCA Hobby Stocks.
Fans can enjoy the racing for free after purchasing the $10 gate admission into the fair.
The race will be a home game for several drivers, which include Ty Hanten, Jackson Moffett, Lee Grosz, and Trevor Mell.
Hanten has experience on both the old half-mile and three-eighths mile from his days driving a WISSOTA Super Stock. Grosz, who will be running at BRRP as well, also has a lot of laps at the Red River Valley Fairgrounds' dirt oval, but they came several years ago back when the Harwood hotshoe began racing with the WISSOTA Championship 360 Sprints. However, Grosz is fresh off a weekend sweep at Cedar Lake Speedway with the UMSS Sprints and will definitely be one to watch in the familiar Howells' #4J. For Moffett and Mell, it'll be their first time competing at RRVS.
