JAMESTOWN, N.D. (June 10, 2017) – Tonight the Buffalo Wild Wings NOSA Sprint Cars will invade Jamestown Speedway for the first time in three years.
Wade Nygaard, who picked up the win at Jamestown Speedway in 2013, will also be one to watch tonight at the high-banked quarter-mile. The nine-time and defending NOSA champion came away with a top five finish at last weekend’s Jackson Nationals in Jackson, Minn. against some of the toughest 360 competition in the country.
Tonight’s event at Jamestown has the potential for a large Sprint Car field. Last night, Dacotah Speedway in Mandan held a 410 Sprint Car special, where 18 Sprints were in action. River Cities Speedway had 21 competitors checked in and the vast majority of them have plans to compete tonight at Jamestown.
Over the years, Jamestown Speedway has been one of the most competitive stops on the NOSA circuit, providing just one repeat winner in the series’ previous seven visits – Casey Mack. It seems as though the NOSA elite rise to the top at Jamestown. Among the six total winners, all of them have secured a NOSA series championship and they all sit in the top 10 on the all-time NOSA wins list.
Racing starts at 7pm at the Stutsman County Fairgrounds!
