MANDAN, N.D. (August 5, 2020) – For the third consecutive year, the Buffalo Wild Wings NOSA Sprints made an appearance at Dacotah Speedway’s Governor’s Cup this past weekend. Solid car counts were seen all weekend with 26 teams checked in on Friday and 27 on Saturday. All of us with the NOSA Sprints were saddened to hear the news of Lou Kennedy's passing on Tuesday.
Kennedy's importance to our sport is immeasurable. It's safe to say, if there was a 'Mount Rushmore' of Sprint Car racing in our area, that Kennedy would be on it. As one of the dominant forces when he was behind the wheel in the 1960's and 70's, Kennedy is still remembered today along with names like Don Mack, George Swangler, and Bucky Peterson.
