| Grand Forks ND - Northern Outlaw Sprint Association (NOSA) has completed it's first shows of the 2014 season with races at River Cities Speedway Friday, May 23. Friday's show included double features in order to complete the May 16th opening night of racing that was cancelled due to poor track conditions. The first feature was won by Mark Dobmeier, after he captured the lead from Lou Kennedy Jr. Kennedy maintained the fastest lap time for the race of 10.921 seconds at 98.89mph. The heat races of the night were won by Mitch Mack, Austin Pierce and Casey Mack. Chris Ranten was involved in a red flag accident in the second heat of the night. The second feature was won by Wade Nygaard of Grand Forks. The race saw some controversy during a restart, leading to the black flag being thrown to Mark Dobmeier, resulting in a race disqualification. NOSA's first out of town race, Sunday at Buffalo River Race Park in Glyndon, MN, was cancelled after rain interrupted the first heat event. |
