By Mike Spieker GRAND FORKS, ND (July 10) - They say the first win of the season is the hardest to get, but once you get the first, the next ones come easier. Although he's ran up front all season long, Austin Pierce is certainly proving that true. It took the defending series champion until early July to pick up his first win of the season (last Saturday at Greenbush Race Park), but Pierce backed it up Friday night at River Cities Speedway by claiming his second consecutive checkered flag. Grand Forks, ND (February 18) - The 2014 season may not have been the best year Casey Mack has ever had, but the East Grand Forks, MN Sprint Car pilot still had a very successful season. Mack finished the year in the runner-up position in both the River Cities Speedway and NOSA Sprints point standings and recorded one feature win. That lone victory came on August 1st at River Cities and was Mack's 28th career NOSA win, which broke a tie with the great Brad Pake and put Mack in 4th place on the all-time NOSA Sprint Car wins list. Mack now trails Lou Kennedy Jr., who sits 3rd with 51 career NOSA victories. The driver of the Bert's Truck Equipment #8 has now won at least one A-main in each of the last nine years and will look to make another charge for the NOSA Sprint Car Series championship in 2015.
