NOSA Fires Up for Busy Fourth of July Weekend
By Mike Spieker
GRAND FORKS, ND (July 3) - The drivers of the Northern Outlaw Sprint Association are set to hit the high banks of River Cities Speedway once again Friday, July 4th. Lou Kennedy Jr. holds a slim four point advantage over Austin Pierce in the NOSA point standings and an 18 point lead over second place Casey Mack in the River Cities Speedway points heading into the Fourth of July weekend.
Saturday night's (July 5) racing action will be at Greenbush Race Park in Greenbush, MN for the first of two appearances by the 410 cubic inch Sprint Car touring series. Wade Nygaard and Mark Dobmeier have been the most dominate drivers at the tight 1/4 mile speedway. Nygaard leads all drivers with eight career victories, while Dobmeier has tallied six checkered flags. Austin Pierce will also be one to watch for as he picked up the win during last year's visit to Greenbush and is the most recent winner in the NOSA series with his win at Red River Co-op Speedway last Thursday.
