Mark Dobmeier dominates for another River Cities Speedway win.
GRAND FORKS, ND (August 29) - Mark Dobmeier found RydellCars.com Victory Lane Friday night at River Cities Speedway for the 106th time in his career in NOSA Outlaw Sprint Car action.
They resumed and Egeland and Adams continued their fight for the lead. The two drivers were battling side by side as they completed lap number four, when Dobmeier got a big run off turn four and passed them both on the front stretch. Once out front, Dobmeier put on the jets and opened up a huge lead.
A caution with eight to go put the very fast Mitch Mack right on Dobmeier's tail tank, but as the race went green, Dobmeier took off and left the pack in his dust for his fifth win of the season at River Cities.
"It was kind of an interesting track," said Dobmeier after the race. "Early in the night it was very similar to the feature track we had last week and there was that darn hole that I hooked last week. In the heat race it was giving me heck. The whole heat I just kept hitting it and almost spun out we ended up making it through it."
"In the feature the track was unusual too. It actually started laying rubber towards the end, but it was heavy lapped traffic and a lot of elbows up racing. It was fun."
