Chris Shirek to return to action Friday night at River Cities Speedway

GRAND FORKS, ND (August 6) - After a grueling grind through the first two-thirds of the season, the NOSA Sprint Car Series are now entering somewhat of a relaxed stint of the 2015 schedule. This Friday's event at River Cities Speedway will mark the only NOSA-sanctioned race until the tour returns to Greenbush Race Park in Greenbush, MN on August 22nd.

NOSA will be off completely the weekend of August 14th as many drivers and crews will be spectating the 55th running of the FVP Knoxville Nationals in Knoxville, Iowa. The following Friday (August 21), several NOSA drivers will return to their home track to battle with the World of Outlaw Sprint Cars in their final appearance of the season to River Cities Speedway.
Friday, August 7th will mark the return of three-time series champion, Chris Shirek. Shirek has been sidelined since July 3rd as a result of a horrific incident while running second in the A-main. The Thompson, ND driver suffered a concussion that has forced him out of the cockpit of his Shawn Horn Realtor #1K for the first time in his 15 year career.
Racing at River Cities Speedway kicks off at 7pm.
