GRAND FORKS, N.D. (May 24, 2018) – With two weekends of racing in the books, things crank up a notch this weekend as the Buffalo Wild Wings NOSA Sprints take on three different tracks in three days.
On Saturday, the series will make its third appearance of the year at Devils Lake Speedway in Crary, N.D. In the two previous visits to the high-banked quarter-mile clay oval this year, it has produced two different winners.
Jade Hastings raced his way to a non-points paying win on May 12th, while Nick Omdahl claimed the series’ most recent win on May 19th.
Sunday evening, the series will wrap up the weekend at Buffalo River Race Park in Glyndon, Minn. The highly-anticipated event will mark the first appearance by the NOSA Sprints since 2016 at the tight, semi-banked quarter-mile clay oval.
Austin Pierce is the most recent winner with the NOSA Sprints at BRRP. Pierce is also the BRRP track record holder, which he set on Sept. 19, 2015 with a lap of 11.987, averaging 75mph.
Nine-time NOSA champion, Wade Nygaard comes into the weekend with a one point lead over Chris Ranten atop the NOSA standings, but is still looking for his first win of the season.
