First Double Header Weekend for the NOSA Outlaw Sprint Cars.
By Mike Spieker (May 22) - The Northern Outlaw Sprint Association will see its first multi-race weekend of the season.
Things kick off Friday night at River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks where Mark Dobmeier will look for win #107 at the Bullring. Austin Pierce, on the other hand, will try to erase the 11 point gap between himself and Dobmeier in the NOSA points standings and distance himself from third place, Ty Hanten.
On Sunday night the series heads south to the hallowed grounds of Buffalo River Race Park for the first of two visits at the Glyndon, MN 1/4 mile. Thomas Kennedy has won the previous two events at BRRP, including an UNOH All-Star Circuit of Champions victory in 2013. Dave Glennon of Casselton picked up the NOSA-sanctioned win in 2013. NOSA broke a River Cities Speedway regular show record with 33 Sprint Cars in attendance last week and great car counts are expected to continue through this weekend.
Hot laps are at 6:30pm on Friday at River Cities with racing at 7:00. Sunday night's event begins at 6:00 at Buffalo River.
